3D MODELING AND PRINTING

“CHRIST’S MARCH INTO BRUSSELS 1889” 1/2 SCALE PROJECT (GETTY/UCLA 2018)

To realize my dramatic design for this 1/2 scale artistic interpretation of James Ensor’s painting, I utilized 3D printing to create delicate accessories that completed the details of the design. The whole piece was created by me including the patterning, sewing, and painting. The metals, cross, and “hand bells” as well as the hardware to keep the flags and crucifix in place were all modeled and printed by me.

THERMOPLASTICS AND FOAM

The Visit (CD: Gabrielle Levion)

Gabrielle vision for porcelain hand and leg braces for the character of Claire (Annalise Staudt) was realized using thermoplastics (Worbla) and powermesh. The set (the hand and leg braces) were custom-formed to the actress using life casting. Gabrielle then finished the look with delicate China blue paint.
